Frequently asked questions
What is export management software?
Export management software handles the parts of an export business that general-purpose CRM and accounting tools do not: the export document set, the production pipeline between a confirmed order and a loaded container, government incentive schemes such as RoDTEP and Duty Drawback, and multi-currency invoicing. ExportCRM covers these in one system rather than across spreadsheets and separate tools.
How is ExportCRM different from a general-purpose CRM?
A general CRM models a sales pipeline that ends when the deal closes. In export, the deal closing is roughly the halfway point — sourcing, sampling, production, quality check, documentation, customs filing and the incentive claim all come afterwards. ExportCRM models that second half as well, which is the part a horizontal CRM has no concept of.
Do you have a solution page for my industry or city?
This hub lists pages by feature, by industry and by location, covering textile and garment, spices and agri, chemicals and pharma, and export hubs including Surat, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Tiruppur. If your industry or city is not listed, the product is the same — the pages differ in the examples they use, not in the software.
Can ExportCRM be customised for how we work?
Yes. The production pipeline stages, document templates, fields and user roles are configurable, and custom modules and integrations are built where a business needs them. What that involves for your operation is scoped during the demo rather than promised in advance.
How do I work out which solution applies to us?
Start from the feature pages if you know which problem you are solving — documentation, incentive tracking, workflow automation. Start from the industry or location pages if you would rather see the product described in the terms your sector uses. Either way the demo runs against one of your own export orders, which settles the question faster than any page can.
